Unlike any Chinese gown this piece is in the most stunning emerald green with intricate embroidery, made of silk and hand tailored. It was found at a Bel Air estate sale of a world traveler, we guess it to be from 1950's or earlier. A truly rare find.
The Cheongsam Dress is fitted all the way down with side slits for ease of walking, a mandarin collar and a zipper up the center with hand made frog clasps down the entire front. It is also entirely lined in silk.
The stylish and often tight-fitting cheongsam was created in the 1920s in Shanghi and made fashionable by socialites and upper class women.
Truly a breath taking piece and one that will not be forgotten a show stopper from any angle. You will be a belle of the ball at the next event.
Please Note: The very top frog clasp is coming undone but very easily fixed by a proper tailor and a very tiny hole in bottom front by zipper not at all noticeable on or off the body.
